We spent this morning at the Pediatric Orthopedist office. Unfortunately, the doctor decided to place him in a harness. He will be in the harness for at least six weeks at which time another ultrasound will be done to see the progress made. In the meantime, we have a few more doctor visits to do any adjustments on the harness. The harness is not as bad as I originally thought - he can still move his legs inward, up and down - but is restricted on the ability to move it outwards. Unlike his mommy, he did not cry at the news or once the harness was placed on him. In fact, he is napping now and no complains. I can only pray he continues to do well. We're allowed to put pants on him as well. The doctor said we are lucky because we can take the harness of him for one hour a day. In more severe cases, the harness cannot be removed at all, which limits babies to sponge baths. The harness has a 95% success rate so please pray Wriston is within that percentile.
